Leisure courses and study breaks in the Cotswolds

About Us

Farncombe in a nutshell

It seems obvious to us, but sometimes it can be difficult to describe to strangers the relationships between the businesses on Farncombe Estate. Our meeting facilities and bedrooms have a range of different uses which determine how people see us.

Here is an at-a-glace guide to the Farncombe businesses:

Farncombe Estate
The 320-acre private estate we are based on gave its name to our weekend leisure courses and study breaks. Students from all over the UK and abroad come to learn new skills and enhance existing ones. We also run Day Schools and longer Summer Schools.

Group bookings
A wide variety of special interest groups, charities and associations use Farncombe for their annual gatherings, conferences and getaways. Celebratory meals can be arranged with at least three weeks’ notice.

Cotswold Conference Centre
An award-winning conference venue which serves the Midlands and beyond.  Our Monday to Friday business is dedicated to meeting, training and corporate teambuilding.  Delegates choose us for residential conferences which bring their national networks together; for discreet meetings, for our unique ideas and our business focus.  There is no limit on the length of an event or programme.

Dormy House Hotel
The deluxe, four-star hotel “next door”, separated from our Estate only by Broadway Golf Course!  Like the other Farncombe businesses, the Dormy is owned by the Sørensen family (see our Company History page.) This converted 17th century farmhouse has real log fires, low-beamed lounges and 43 stunning en-suite bedrooms.  It was recently voted “second most romantic hotel in the UK” by customers on TripAdvisor. The excellent Dining Room and intimate Brasserie serve AA two-rosette food.
