A cleaner approach

Farncombe Estate is part of a family of companies originally owned by the entrepreneur Jørgen Philip-Sørensen and controlled by the Philip-Sørensen family today. Included in these companies is the environmentally-friendly brand Ecover, a world leader in ecological cleaning products.

Ecover soaps, washing-up, household and laundry products are made from plant-based ingredients. They are composed of fully bio-degradable natural extracts that have no negative impact on the environment – in strong contrast to their petrochemical counterparts. More than 30 Ecover products are manufactured in the company’s own state-of-the-art factories using a completely sustainable process.

Our venue has a commitment to these products that few other venues can match. All 89 en-suite bathrooms and public restrooms on the Farncombe Estate are fitted with Ecover dispensers for soap and/or shower gels. Our housekeeping team uses the same brand throughout the operation. We are the only dedicated conference venue in the UK to use Ecover on this scale.
