Our Environmental Policy

We recognise that our activities have an effect on the environment and we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint in real and measurable ways.

We aim to:
* Preserve the high level of biodiversity on our 370-acre estate and create new habitats and breeding grounds for a range of wildlife

* Reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill sites by ensuring that all departments consistently separate food, cardboard, paper, metal and plastics

* Continually improve our recycling rates, including the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment

* Minimise electricity consumption, monitoring usage via our Building Management System

* Ask people to think about their journeys to site and encourage them to travel by train or car-share

* Approach our building projects in a sustainable manner

* Pursue and maintain existing initiatives, including the use of renewable energies and grey-water, local suppliers and foodstuffs

* Require all departments to be represented on our Green Team

* Ensure that the green message is clearly communicated both internally and externally, to staff, customers and stakeholders

* Seek out suppliers who are committed to an environmental programme of their own
