Beethoven
Of the seven major works in this genre, five are for Beethoven’s own instrument, the piano. Another is for violin and one is a Triple Concerto for piano, violin and cello. This course investigates these important works which, although central to the repertoire, form an occasionally underestimated aspect of Beethoven’s work, and will be illustrated live at the piano and with recordings.
