Chinese Brush Painting

The essence of Chinese Brush painting is simplicity and spontaneity. This is achieved using subtle colours to suggest rather than represent the likeness of an object. You will learn basic brush painting, supplemented with PowerPoint presentations on Chinese culture and history of Chinese art. Demonstrations followed by practical work with individual tuition enable learners at all levels to progress their skills and gain an appreciation of Chinese culture and art. Materials list provided.

Materials list:
A jar, paper to cover table. Students can bring along all their chinese material. There will be a sale of Chinese painting materials at reasonable prices.
