The Tudor dynasty, which ruled between 1485 and 1603, transformed England, and monarchs such as Henry VIII and Elizabeth I are instantly recognizable. So where did the Tudors come from, why were they so successful and what was the significance of Henry VII’s remarkable mother, Lady Margaret Beaufort? This weekend course will explore, amongst other things, the Tudors’ struggle for power during the Wars of the Roses and the life and times of Margaret Beaufort.
