Two pre-formed consorts of five or six players (of any level) will work in depth with Alison on repertoire of their own choice. Although most of the works studied will probably be drawn from the wealth of English consort music, Alison will encourage groups to study some of the earlier 16th Century repertoire too. This will give players a better insight into how music developed into the instrumental fantasia form so popular in 17th century England.
