FAQs
Here are some of your Frequently Asked Questions…
1. What does the price include?
Your residential course fee includes VAT, all meals from Friday night to Sunday lunchtime and a welcome drinks voucher. Unlimited tea and coffee are supplied, with fresh biscuits daily. Day school fees include refreshments and lunch. Evening and afternoon talks include refreshments. Non-residential fees include all of the above except B&B.
2. Do you have disabled rooms?
We have eight bedrooms that aim to be DDA-compliant and others which have good access and spacious en-suites. If you have a particular request, please let us know when booking.
3. Do you cater for special diets?
Almost any diet can be catered for if you give us a least a week’s notice. There is a vegetarian option available at every meal.
4. Can I reach you by public transport?
The nearest train stations are Moreton-in-Marsh (from the south) and Evesham (from the Midlands and the north.) We can arrange a return taxi transfer from Moreton-in-Marsh for a charge of £16 – please ask when booking.
5. May I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed in bedrooms provided they are confined in a cage. You are welcome to walk your dog around the footpaths of the Estate – we politely ask that you pick up any mess as you walk. Only Guide Dogs are permitted in public areas.
6. May I bring my partner?
We have excellent 24-hour rates for partners of Farncombe students sharing a bedroom. To arrange double occupancy, please call our sales team on 0333 456 8580.
7. Is it possible to extend my stay?
B&B is available at a lower rate for Farncombe students staying either side of a course. To book extra nights and qualify for the special rate (subject to availability), please call 0333 456 8580.
8. What is supplied in my bedroom?
In your bedroom you will find towels, Ecover soaps, (although you may wish to bring your own shampoo) hair dryer, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and biscuits.
9. How easy will it be to park?
Our buildings are arranged village-style around the estate and there is ample free parking next to each one. This allows you to park next to your own bedroom and even to drive around the estate to your course and to the Dining Room if you prefer. There are steps, but the distances are not great and most people choose to walk.
If you have a disability, we can arrange in-car check-in, where one of our Reception team will come out to your vehicle. Please request at time of booking.
10. What if I am ill and can’t attend the course?
We regret that we cannot refund your money if you are unable to attend. We STRONGLY ADVISE that you take out a course cancellation insurance, for instance Cancel Sure, which we have recommended for years.
Visit www.cancelsure-insurance.co.uk or call 0845 071 3929.
11. What happens in case of snow?
Our Estate team are punctilious in snow-clearing and gritting the Estate’s drives during the winter, so access around the Estate should be good. However, we cannot be held responsible for the public roads on your route. If you fail to attend a course which runs, you will still be liable for your fees. If we cancel the course, we will refund your fee in full.
