A flavour of Farncombe
“Lovely food – this aspect of Farncombe gets better and better.” Anon, March 2012
Eating is an important part of the Farncombe experience. Our Dining Room has been improved numerous times over the years and early in 2012 we unveiled the lovely Willersey Room, a conservatory-style extension which looks out over Farncombe Lake.
You can read more about the Willersey Room opening, by the Tourism and Heritage Minster, John Penrose MP, in our News section.
Our catering team provides an excellent service. The “cuisine not canteen” approach at Farncombe Estate is genuine – two of our chefs trained in the AA two-rosette kitchens of the Dormy House Hotel.
At Farncombe Estate, you will be offered a range of menu choices, including vegetarian, every day at lunch and dinner. Allergies and special diets can be accommodated given a few days’ notice. All kitchen staff are trained in allergy awareness and we stock essential cupboard ingredients such as gluten-free flour and dairy-free milk.
We are also very proud of our customer service. Assistant Catering Manager Frankie Brennan has this year won Silver for Outstanding Customer Service in the South West Tourism Awards, beating competitors from all over the UK’s most popular tourist region. You can read more about this on our news pages, too.
