A welcome place to gather

At Farncombe Estate, the lounge bar is the place where your weekend begins – even if it starts on a Tuesday night!

Near reception, we have a modern, fully-stocked, licensed lounge bar. Farncombe students receive a voucher for a welcome drink on arrival, so settle in and relax for your introductory talk from Andy Green or Dave Streeter, the Assistant Operations Managers.

Speciality bottled real ales from around the region and a range of wines are served from the bar. We even stock our own-label Ewe Nutter ale by Goff’s, a small brewery in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire.

Throughout your weekend, the lounge bar doubles as a coffee and congregation area, with a range of teas, hot chocolate, filter coffee and fresh refrigerated milk. Here you will find newspapers, magazines, board games and a large, flat-screen TV. Unlimited sparkling and still bottled water is always provided. We have our own filtration system to provide water in branded bottles, which we wash and re-use for your convenience.
